Building More Than Cars—Building CharacterEmpowering the next generation through hands-on mentorship, community, and faith.
In a world of consumerism and disposable consumption, the Community Garage gives Middleman Ministries a chance to inspire young people to learn how something works and gain confidence in learning how to fix it.

Most of our events and weekly programs are free for the entire Waco community.
Our nearly 4,000-square-foot, air-conditioned workspace is equipped with a 10,000-pound lift, a large air compressor, and enough toolkits to support multiple projects at once.

Our programs include:

Community Garage Night
Each semester, we host a weekly Community Garage Night where teenagers and college students can work on their cars (and ours) under adult supervision. Our program is led by a garage foreman and mentors who build relationships while equipping and encouraging students. Each evening includes free food and a gathering time to share from God’s Word and discuss what it means to live with integrity.

From Small Beginnings to Impacting the Waco Community
Located in downtown Waco, TX, just two blocks from the Magnolia Market Silos, the Middleman Community Garage has been dedicated to project-based mentoring since its founding in 2005. What began in John B’s small-town Texas driveway—where kids learned to build skateboard ramps and work on cars—grew into a larger movement.
|
The program expanded when Ralph Garza launched a successful initiative in Houston, drawing over 40 students every Friday after school to skate, work on cars, and hear a Jesus-centered message at MM713. Since moving to our current location in 2022, we’ve continued to build on this legacy, empowering young people through hands-on learning and mentorship.
